De Koning Ministries has been operating as a 501(c)(3)organization since 2008. The ministry currently supports ministries and individuals in Suriname, Ghana, the USA, and remote tribes in Africa. They seek to reach people of all ages for Jesus Christ and give them direction and resources for victorious Christian living. Along with preaching the word of God, De Koning Ministries also provides business training for women through their women’s ministry called BRASA, marriage seminars, feeding those who are without food, and facilitating partnerships with other ministries in the local areas of operations.

Ken de Koning is the Senior Pastor at Waldron Road Baptist Church and is the founder and president of DE KONING MINISTRIES. This non-profit organization reaches people for Christ and builds unity in the Body. He encourages everyone he meets through his passion for God and his love for people.

Ken was born in Suriname, where he was voted Sportsman of the Year at age seventeen as the country’s number one tennis player. He was a member of the Davis Cup Squad of the Netherlands in 1969 and enjoyed a successful tennis career. Ken was also sought out by national champions of eleven countries for coaching. He has developed winning tennis players for top-level competition and college scholarships as a club pro.

Ken and Sibyl were married in 1973 after meeting as students at the University of Corpus Christi. They have three grown children, Joshua, Nathaniel, Micah, and ten grandchildren. Ken and Sibyl de Koning have been ministering for over thirty years.
